Open Enrollment is the only time you can make changes to your benefit elections during the year for most benefit plans*, unless you experience a qualifying life event as defined in the Internal Revenue Code. If you experience a qualifying life event, benefit changes must be made in Workday within 31 days. See below for actions to take and considerations to keep in mind as you navigate life’s changes.
Endeavor coverage takes effect the date of the life event (e.g., birth date), with the exception of loss of coverage. If you've lost coverage and enroll in Endeavor benefits, the coverage effective date is the day following your loss of coverage date (i.e., the day after your current plan ends).
*Voluntary benefits, such as pet insurance, voluntary life and AD&D insurance, and commuter benefits, are subject to different enrollment rules.
If you experience a qualified life event and need to change your health plan coverage, go to the Health Plan Cost Estimator to view annual cost estimates for each health plan option and coverage level.
